Dr. Rachel Faust

About Me

I am a clinical health psychologist licensed in the state of Ohio with over 13 years of clinical experience working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic health issues. I use an intuitive and flexible approach to help you create more wellness in your life.

I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from Xavier University. I have professional experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds. I am proud to offer identity-affirming care to all who seek it.

My years of experience in healthcare settings have prepared me to understand clients holistically and help them navigate both psychospiritual and healthcare needs. Similarly to having a primary care provider to manage medical needs, I have the capacity to serve as primary care provider for my clients' mental health needs.

I have experience treating: anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD and complex PTSD, geriatric concerns, insomnia, chronic pain, living with cancer, ADHD, grief and loss, emotion dysregulation, anger management, and relationship concerns.

My toolbox includes:

Internal Family Systems (IFS) – Level 1 Trained through IFSI

Clinical Hypnosis – Level 1 Trained through ASCH

Mindfulness-based approaches, including tools from DBT, ACT and FACT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Motivational Interviewing

Polyvagal theory and other nervous-system-based teachings and interventions

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you conduct your visits?2023-11-30T17:31:23-05:00

All visits are conducted virtually through a secure app called Spruce. Once you’ve downloaded the app onto your device, we will use Spruce to conduct video visits and communicate as needed between visits. I do not have an in-person office.

I ask that you please be located in the state of Ohio or another participating PSYPACT state (see linked map) during our visit. While you can participate in our visit from a parked car, the car cannot be in motion (even if someone else is driving) during our visit.

How long do visits last and how much do they cost?2023-11-30T17:15:52-05:00

Our first visit will last 55 minutes and cost $200.
For subsequent visits, you have the choice of 55-minute visits for $200 or 30-minute visits for $100 each. Unless we discuss having a 30-minute visit ahead of time, we will default to 55-minute visits.

What forms of payment do you accept?2023-11-30T17:32:08-05:00

I accept credit, debit, and HSA cards for payment. When I send you the virtual forms to complete prior to our first visit, please enter your payment information into my system to hold that appointment.

At our first visit, please have that form of payment handy so I can enter it into another system that I prefer to use. I will not need your card information again after that, unless you choose to give me a different card to use.

Can I use my insurance benefits?2023-11-30T17:32:49-05:00

Although I am not paneled with insurance companies, I can provide a super bill upon request, which has all the information you would need to submit a claim to your insurance if you want access to out-of-network benefits, which may include reimbursement and/or application of the cost of the visit toward your deductible.

I am licensed to offer telehealth to people located in all PSYPACT states. Click this linked map to see if your state is included.
